Hello, is there anybody out there?
Well, actually, out here in Schweinfurt and its surroundings? Anybody young, who doesn’t speak German yet? Have you just arrived or have you been here for long? And do you still not know what to do in your free time and where to go to meet other young people?
Well, then we might help you to change that. We? That’s a group of eight pupils of year 12 and their English teacher. We are all from the Celtis-Gymnasium in Schweinfurt and we have just finished our project on the things to do here in our town and some surrounding villages, which took us about a year.
So if you feel like enjoying Schweinfurt’s nightlife, eating out in a nice and recommendable restaurant, participating in various cultural events, watching the latest films at the cinema, doing sports in one of the many clubs or studios or just relaxing in a cool café or bar, take a look at our website for young people.
Although we know that much of the information given is bound to be outdated within soon, we do hope that as many foreign friends of our town as possible profit from it as long as it is up to date. In any case we have done our best to offer you reliable facts about and descriptions of some of Schweinfurt’s hot spots and musts. So now it’s all up to you.
Why don’t you simply take your chances on one or the other of our tips. Who knows, maybe your life far away from home will turn out to be quite exciting in the end and you will have happy memories of your time in Schweinfurt ever after.

Schweinfurt, which was once a working class town, well-known for its metal industry, has become a synonym for cultural activity, today, especially a competence centre for arts. It has a number of cultural institutions, including for instance the art hall of Schweinfurt for modern art and the municipal theater that reaches thousands of visitors each year.
